Enjoying
Turkish festival after 10 miles run in DC. Do you know Santa Claus was
born in turkey? I wondered if I should not have declined Turkish
police's invitation to fly me back to testify against the robber. Well,
too late. — at Freedom Plaza.
Crashed
a 10 miles run with a group to experience the last few hundred feet of
Marine Corp Marathon, including a 68 yr old lady runner who motivated me
to run faster than usual. Yes, I feel ready to run 26.2 miles on 10/26 — at National World War II Memorial.
Enjoying traditional Korean dances, music and food by the Korean Cultural Center — at Lisner Auditorium.
"Korea
Art & Soul blends Korean music and dance performance with modern
style, fashion, and food to create a unique Korean cultural experience. This year's program features the North Jeolla Province Institute for Korean Traditional Performing Arts, as well as a show by master fashion designer Lee Hye Soon. "
H Street Festival - Sept. 20, 2014, noon-6 p.m. H Street, between 4th & 14th Streets, NE., Washington DC. The festival includes musical and dance performances, children's activities, crafts, international foods and more. BTW, the new street cars were in display.
Ate
16 small and mid size crabs with river views and live music. A lot of
finger exercise after I ran 20 miles at 11:16 per mile this morning. No
need to eat crabs for a long time — at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant and Crab House.
From one Review: "Those texts include the Mephistopheles-themed musings of John Milton,
Mikhail Bulgakov, Nathaniel Hawthorne, C.S. Lewis, Mark Twain and many
other literary authors, as well as passages from canonical and
apocryphal scriptures. But while the brainy “Devil in His Own Words” is
surely a must-see for comparative literature wonks and divinity-school
students, it’s also a lively and sometimes moving (if slightly overlong)
piece of theater that isn’t ashamed to incorporate goofy gags (such as a
paper bag that stands in for God)."
Attended a book release reception and listened to the 12 authors' refreshing views on smaller government — at Decatur House on Lafayette Square.
"For too long progressives in Washington have put
forth a vision of America in which government is the solution to every problem.
Where a nanny state dictates our children’s lunches, provides one-size-fits-all
health care, controls our education, and even determines what kind of light
bulbs we use. We’ve not only lost sight of what a healthy society looks like,
but also forgotten that government is not the only—or even the best—solution to
society’s ills. - See more at: http://lean-together.com/#sthash.cVV3A62J.dpuf"
