Volunteer skating after a 14 mile hike

Volunteer skating at the Family Ice Skate Night with individuals with disabilities. I ran into the 16-yr-old boy with Autism again. Skated 2 hrs after a 14 mile hike— at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

Attended the reopening party of J.R.'s Stockyards Inn, and enjoyed a Gatsby affair with heavy hors d'oeuvres, libations, and wonderful desserts — at J R's Stockyards Inn.

Volunteered at Dreams for Kids DC

I skipped work Friday afternoon and volunteered at Dreams for Kids DC to skate and ice hockey with challenged children and players from the Capitals.  I was matched up with a Chinese girl who skated very well so I had to chase her around the rink to ensure her safety. Once paired, the group headed to balcony to grab lunch.  I got my signed t shirt and a lots of fun — at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

It is a good cause to help disadvantaged kids. Here is a clip from last year:

Had brunch with my college classmate who was stranded in DC after Boston airport closure, enjoyed fun girl's talk, and then walked her to METRO to take Amtrak instead of flying back tomorrow night— at Marriott Gateway Crystal City.

A Shakespeare tragedy: Othello

Watched another modernized Shakespeare play Othello yet with dialog and 3 hrs long about a minority man rose to become a celebrated war hero and trusted adviser to heads of state, but manipulated by a subordinate with a fabricated affairs of his wife and could not turn off the jealousy in his brain and killed her and himself. Had a chicken salad at a diner after the play — at Theater on the Run.






Ran Half Marathon in 20F

Ran half marathon in 20F at 9:51 per mile. Envy one friend who is going to run half marathon in 70F in Taxes tomorrow. The track field was in a basin but still very windy — at George Mason High School.
