We hiked in the Hazel Country and White Rocks Cave for 15 miles with
3700 feet elevation gain in the wonder of golden yellow world, mostly
dry and cool with refreshing spotty rain drops for less then 20 minutes.
We also saw the poisonous cousin of Chicken in the Woods mushrooms.
BTW, I won a 1-mon weight lose challenge among me and two other hikers,
by losing 6.1% of my body weight in 4-week.

Wardensville Fall Fextival anf half-moon hike
I hiked with three friends to the half moon overlook in George
Washington National Forest today for 10 miles with 2000 feet elevation
gain. We took time to take photos and stopped by a Festival on the way
out in Wardensville West Virginia. We ate BBQ and steamed crabs at the
festival while listening to a live country music band, and observed two
live alpacas. I attended a dinner potluck with some Chinese friends
afterwards. A busy and fun Sunday.

20-m hike along Mt. Marshall and Bluff Trails
I had a cool and fast Scenic hike along Mt. Marshall and Bluff Trails
today for 20 miles with 4000 feet elevation gain. I and one other hiker
ran into old friends on the trail. It was colder than the forecast 50-55
f most of the time. I also got some wild mushrooms to take home, and
made garlic sautéed mushrooms.
