play “Intimate Apparel” at Theater J.

I went in DC to usher for “Intimate Apparel” at
Theater J. Here is a review:
“Sewing beautiful lingerie gives Esther, an African American seamstress, an intimate look at the love lives of her diverse clientele, but she yearns for a romance of her own. She finds herself in an epistolary courtship with a mysterious Caribbean man, though her heart secretly belongs to the Orthodox Jewish fabric merchant with whom she can never share a touch.”
On my way back to Virginia, I was stopped by a group in Halloween costumes to photo for them, and then they insisted to photo with me.

16-mile friend's hike + meetup Halloween party

I hiked with several friends today for 16 miles with 3400 feet elevation gain at the Shenandoah National Center Park today along the Appalachian Trail between panorama, Pass Mountain, Byrds Nest shelter. I found and tasted some wild grapes.
We stopped by the winery after hike, then I ran 4 miles to complete my 20 hike/run miles weekend goal. After dinner, I quickly put on my gondola paddler costumes and swung by a meetup Halloween party to take some photos.

comedy musical, A Little Night Music

I ushered this Sunday afternoon at the Reston Community Center for a comedy musical, A Little Night Music. “The story follows interlocking, mismatched couples as, somewhat in spite of themselves, they grope their way toward the relationships they truly desire.”
There was an Indian gathering in the Center for Diwali, that honors the triumph of light over dark and features its main festivities on Oct. 24 this year.

Little Devils Stairs hike Long Version

I enjoyed another foliage hike via Little Devils Stairs Long Version for 13.5 miles with 3100 feet elevation gain in the Shenandoah National Park. The beloved hike leader Wanda kindly shared homemade banana cake at the end of the hike. Some of us regrouped at the nearby winery after the hike before heading back to the city.
I ran 6.5 miles after got home to meet my 20 hike/run mile weekend goal.

Foliage to Rose River Falls, Dark Hollow Falls, and Hawksbill Peak

Perfect weather to hike in the foliage to Rose River Falls, Dark Hollow Falls, and Hawksbill Peak for 13.5 miles with 3000 feet elevation gain. We went to a winery after the hike.
I ran 6 miles after grocery shopping, then short of 0.5 mile to complete my 20 hike/run miles weekend goal, since it was too dark and hungry to finish. I will run that 0.5 mile on Monday.
