I ran 4.5 miles yesterday in Reston, then biked 22.78 miles today to enjoy the summer like temperature and cherry blossom along W&OD trail between Reston and the famous Partlows Brothers Store near Mile Marker 27.5 in Ashburn.

16-mile hike on Roller Coaster section of the Appalachian Trail

I hiked on the Roller Coaster section of the Appalachian Trail from the Bears Den parking lot heading south out & back for 16 miles (25.7 kms) with 4800 feet (1460 meters) elevation gain in 50 f (10 c) with social distance from other Tuesday Vigorous hikers and an unknown hiker walking 6 dogs. Then I saw this in my news feed: “Appalachian Trail Conservancy Urges Hikers to Stay Home”. https://loudounnow.com/…/appalachian-trail-conservancy-urg…/

Tested my bike for 2020

During the past 4 days, I unpacked my travel bags, grocery shopping, adjusted my sleep and stomach to DC time, daily yoga, ran 3 miles, and biked 9.5 miles (1st ride in USA in 2020, after one beach ride in Dahab, Egypt). I planned to bike more in such 70f warm weather, but I broke the front tire and took it to the shop, which made me passed via Herndon town center three times in one day. I cook myself a pot of curry chicken and crunchy Brussels sprouts. Try to stay busy at home. BTW, cherry blossom is said to peak this weekend.

Plaquenil proofed me from cornorvirus during middle east trip?

I have been taking Hydroxychloroquine (brand name Plaquenil) since 1992 for skin lupus, and with minimum side effect. Now a new study shows it may cure coronavirus. Once FDA approves its use, the stock market will bounce back, and all activities will resume. "Chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, not the true quinine. The three molecular structures are different. At present, it is thought that the two molecular formulas, chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, may be effective, and do not include quinine contained in some alcoholic beverages (such as Gin & Tonic). The hospitals have only use lower toxicity, hydroxychloroquine (hydroxychloroquine), trade name Plaquenil, yet often use quinine for short, which should not be clinically confused." https://nypost.com/2020/03/19/old-malaria-drug-hydroxychloroquine-may-help-cure-coronavirus-study/?fbclid=IwAR3vJoJs3oN4HHpCClcVCvm63GHmIPZQfEc58edBJiGO3Yjizm2TM9AnQUk
