I
and two other hikers finished 20-m 6000 ft elevation gain hike on
Appalachian Trail Roller Coaster section in 60-70f crispy weather. Since
my last hike was almost 2 months ago, it was hard to tough out this
hike. BTW, mountain laurels are blooming.
I
ran a little more than half-marathon (13.2m) this morning, to Reston
town center, on W&OD trail, then mostly on Fairfax country parkway
trail. Hope Northern Virginia will lift stay-home order on 5/29 as
scheduled, although the silver line from Mclean stop to Reston stop is
close since 5/23 via the whole summer, and many orange line stops are
close as well.
Since
I don’t get to go to any BBQ party and there is not much to do today, I
ran another half marathon (13.1 miles) this morning. So I got in a full
marathon during the simplest Memorial Day long weekend.
Another
“flat” weekend passed by, including 11 miles runs recorded in three
instances, and some azalea in my backyard. I took another 3-m walk
Sunday afternoon and noticed the purple iris in my front yard. I am
still trying to fix my running and walking postures, in order to fix my
kneecap flipping outward issue.
