at the Therapeutic Recreation Family Ice Skate Night at the Kettler Iceplex. I tried on my own hockey skates and got a few tips form other volunteers. Over 220 parents and children and 50+ volunteers showed up and had a great time. 
The event was organized by Arlington Department of Parks and Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation Office. "Recreational therapy is a treatment service designed to restore, re mediate and rehabilitate a
person’s level of functioning and independence in life activities, to
promote health and wellness as well as reduce or eliminate the activity
limitations and restrictions to participation in life situations caused
by an illness or disabling condition."
