I
just watched the movie Interstellar in IMAX at Tysons AMC. The story
was about a team of astronauts who travel through a wormhole in search
of a new habitable planet, much further than Mars. Go see the movie
yourself, because I do not want to spoil the story here.
My biggest dream is to travel to Mars, although one-way travel takes 7 months and high radiation from the nuclear reactor. Mars One will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. Mars One will start new selection programs regularly, so people like me can apply for subsequent astronaut selection programs.
