Hiked
20 miles with 4700 ft gain on a sunny and cool day in 8 hrs along
Nicholson Hollow, Hazel Mountain, Mary’s Rock. One hiker carried 22 lb
to train for Alaska "into the wild" kind of hike. The water level in the
river was high but no one got wet. — checked in to Nicholson Hollow Trail, Shenandoah National Park.
Had
dinner with the hiking group after the 20 mile hike in sprryville. The
restaurant has a simple Manu yet reasonably priced. My pan seared
mahi-mahi tacos were served on two soft tortillas with lettuce, tomato,
mango salsa and sour cream ($10). The restaurant is next to an antique
shop and very close to Shenandoah National Park. — checked in to Headmaster's Pub.
