13.1 miles run in the high school

I planned to take a 17 m hike in the GWNF: Duncan Knob & Strickler Knob with Rock Scramble, to ease into 20+ distance hikes after my 2.5 month overseas trip. However, it was canceled last night after I went to bed so I knew after woke up at 6 am. This was the third time a long distance Sunday hike got cancelled by this meetup group, so I will not bother to sign up in the future. I ran 13.1 miles in the high school instead. It was cool and foggy, then turned hot and sunny. — checked in to George Mason High School.
