I took
a counter-clockwise circuit of Nicholson Hollow Trail, Indian Run
Trail, Corbin Mountain Trail, Old Rag Fire Road, Robertson Mountain
Tail, and Weakley Hollow Fire Road for the first time. Roberson mt
uphill was tough, yet downhill was challenging when leaves covered the
trail. The hike was 12 m with 2700 ft gain at the tail of the foliage.
There were great views from the top of Robertson Mountain.
The old lady lives next to the old rag parking lot happily collected
$10 from hundreds of cars. There were vendors selling apples, fruits,
cider, bread, cookies between upper and lower parking lots. It was a
gorgeous hiking day, and some of us stopped by this winery before
heading out of the national park, to enjoy wine, cheese, freshly baked
bread, more views, and fun conversation with new friends. We love the
winery dog. — at Sharp Rock Vineyards.
