7 hikers took the Endurance training 27M Hike: A Roller Coastal Section
of AT today. One fell on a wet rock and injured his thumb, so bailed out
at 12 m point. I and the hike leader took 21 m 5000 ft version. I did
it to take photos on the way out. It was actually pretty pleasant to
hike in 55 f cloudy day, although some sections were muddy or with
running off streams. — in Paris, Virginia
