I got my share of the National Bell Festival (DC wide ringing on New
Year’s Day) at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. “Each sounding of the Bell
of Peace and Harmony – a gift from the Korean-American Cultural
Committee to the people of Virginia – reverberates for nearly 3
minutes.” I did not get to swing a large wooden log to make it ring, but
walked around with hot chocolate and took photos. It is such a
beautiful sunny first day of 2020！I visited the Gardens before in spring
and falls, yet first time in winter, which brought back my wonderful
memory of Seoul in March 2019.
