I woke up 5 am to carpool and take this 13-mile 2900 feet elevation gain Tri-State Harpers Ferry - Loudoun/Maryland Heights hike. The weather was cold (40f) and misty over the river in the early morning, then warmed up to 60f, sunny and beautiful the rest of the day. It was the first time I visited the Appalachian Trail Visiter Center on the hike, and I found the eatable wild mushrooms (chicken in woods) on the trail.
