 I ushered at First Stage Tyson Sunday afternoon for Under the Sea With Dredgie McGee. I cannot spoil the story, but I will tell you that I like the delightful and innovative costumes and prompts designs to express a magical underwater world.

Buck Hollow, Mary's Rock, Buck Ridge 12-mile hike

 

I had a friend’s hike along Buck Hollow, Mary's Rock, Buck Ridge, for 12 miles 3150 feet elevation gain today in blooming wild flowers in the Shenandoah National Park, then we stopped by a winery to taste wine paired with cheese crackers, fruits, and brownies we brought ourselves. What a nice hiking day!

I ran 8 miles under-hydrated in 80f to complete my 20 hike/run miles weekend goal.

volunteered for Dreams For Kids DC (DFKDC) Prom 2022 @ Glen Echo Park

 I volunteered for Dreams For Kids DC (DFKDC) Prom 2022 @ Glen Echo Park today. The weather was sunny and cool, and it took us 1.5 hours to set up the food, chairs, tables, decorations, etc. The kids had good time with the photo booths (my task), balloon man, dancing, and interacting with three characters from Star Wars (professionals for hire). I have been working with this children’s charity for many years and involved in activities that empower children with physical and developmental disabilities. There was only one thing I didn't like, i.e., the stop & go traffic on Rt. 495 to Glen Echo Park like driving in a parking lot.
