The Musical Box
Society International is a non-profit
organization
dedicated to the enjoyment, study and preservation of all automatic musical
instruments. Chartered by the New York
State Education Department, the Society
is eligible to receive tax-deductible gifts. From its
modest beginning in 1949, MBSI
now numbers
several thousand members with representation in each of the 50
states and nineteen other countries.
Regional chapters located in the U.S.
and Japan enable members to visit collections where they swap ideas,
information, and sometimes instruments.
