Stopped Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park

Checked out the Peirce Mill and watched the animation of the Mill operation. The Peirce Mill is a historic mill building located in Rock Creek Park, at Tilden Street and Beach Drive.  Peirce Mill was built in the 1820's, and operated commercially until 1897. The United States Government acquired the mill as part of Rock Creek in 1892. Peirce Mill has recently been refurbished and operates on special occasions. Peirce Mill is on the National Register of Historic Places.
