I hiked with friends on Roller Coaster this Saturday for 8 miles with 2000 feet elevation gain over a thin layer of snow on the Appalachian Trail. I used micro spikes for the downhill to be safe, adding the weight from my winter hiking boots that gave me extra workout.
Plus my 7.3 miles weekday run, I logged in 15.3 miles hike/run miles this week.
