Meteor Shower 2013 Camping

Meteors are caused by streams of cosmic debris entering Earth's atmosphere at high speeds on parallel trajectories. The day started raining and then tapped away one hour after we arrived the Mathew’s Arm camp ground at SNP.
Two female campers rode their motor bikes which were cool.

After every one set up the tents. The group hiked to the 98 feet tall Overall Run Falls. While we were hiking, one fellow vegetarian camping grilled vegetables and chicken wings for us. I am very gratefully for what he and other campers did for the group.

After dinner, the group headed down to the Overall Run Fall again to observed the meteor shower. The group confidentially broke up two bear cobs and the mom bear. We waited for the mom bear to cross the trail  to reunite with the two cubs who were scar and climbed up a 40-ft tree in seconds. The mom bear hub on the tree then turned her head to give us a not-to-come-close look.

During 1.5 hours, I saw three shooting stars, yet too cool and sleepy to stay longer. I stayed aware/alert of the surroundings (possibly bears) when I hiked up to the camp ground, without worrying.  Rule # 1: Don't scar yourself by your worry and imagination when you are travel alone.  Aware rather than afraid.

When I arrived the camp ground, some hikers already started enjoying "beverage," I shared a few different kinds and relaxed in the music and conversation.  Thereafter, I set up alarm and woke up 5 am again to check out the stars, but the crowds covered the sky.

I enjoyed the area in fresh crispy air and the friendship.
