Secrets and Scandals tour
Took
the Secrets and Scandals tour with DC Free by Foot in this cool and
pleasant summer evening starting from the Andrew Jackson Statue in the
middle of Lafayette Square, just north of the White House (with two
snippets walking on the roof), to explore some misfortunes and
misbehaviors of Commanders-in-Chiefs, such as Inaugurations gone awry,
duels, bigamy, curses, and affairs of the heart. For example,
CIA lost Reagan's suit for 2 days after he was shot which had his
wallet with the gold code for launching nuclear weapon, Jefferson has
affairs with a slave who was his dead wife's half sister, Washington
loved Sara Fairfax yet married Martha for her $, James Pope's wife
established the musical ritual to get public notice of her short
husband's entry to a venue, etc.
— checked in to The White House. We also witnessed a Marine One took off assuming with the U.S. President therein. |
photography exhibit hosted by Stages Premier Real Estate Galleria
Attended
a photography exhibit hosted by Stages Premier Real Estate Galleria,
met a Facebook friend in person, and made some interesting new friends
including a Jenifer who is also a lawyer, stationed in Taiwan for 4
yrs at AIT, and travelled 48 countries.
I did not pay as much attention to the original photography series, SALVADOR TO REHOBOTH: WORK AND PLAY or the special humanitarian installation. I focused more on the watering delectables, on site DJ, and conversation with new friends — checked in to Washington, District of Columbia. |
DC Girls In Tech
Attended
an event by DC Girls In Tech which started 1 hour later than I expected
so I only networked without staying over the panel discussion. I would
like take an outdoor walking tour to enjoy the nice and cool (70f)
sunset than the indoor discussion. BTW, I walked by the Martin Luther
King library hundreds times but 1st time got in, and found its 2d floor
have many nice rooms for public events. — checked in to Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.

neighborhood with deep, dark secrets about a forgotten past. We started
