Four of us hiked on the Appalachian Trail out and Back from the trailhead on Route 55 to the Whiskey hollow shelter for 15.4 miles with 3100 feet elevation gain. It was sunny and hot (85f) today. It felt like summer yet a few spring flowers blooming on the trail. We ran into an old friend hiking from the opposite direction in the afternoon.
We enjoyed cool drinks at the parking lot after hike, and got re-hydrated.
Plus my 7.6 miles weekday runs, I logged in 23 hike/run miles this week.
