I
did my third time of hiking alone the roller coaster of the Appalachian
Trail today with a small group. They did 22 m with 6000 ft gain, but I
did 18.6 m with 5500 gain because my right heel and arch acted up. It
was painful yet enjoyable to hike over seven hills with between 3-700
feet of elevation gain twice in a sunny cool day, and enjoyed the views
of the Shenandoah Valley, from Bears Den Rocks and Lookout Point. We saw
some people at the parking ready to watch stars tonight. — checked in to Appalachian Trail.
