Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋節 (when the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time)! One friend gave me two boxes of Moon cakes 月餅 because her family diabetic risk, yet compensated with two kinds of self-grown vegetables(water Spinach 空心菜 and Chinese lettuce 萵苣) I really like. I cannot believe that Chinese style cake costs $5 a piece, and the Cantonese mooncake costs $10 a piece in USA (5-10 times the prices in Taiwan).
Mooncakes have high calories and are usually eaten in small wedges, accompanied by tea. I ran 10 miles on Wednesday then 10 miles today to meet my 20 miles weekly goal since I will visit Boston for a few days without time for exercising.
