Took
a 21 miles 7000 ft elevation gain hike on AT Roller Coaster-Almost Full
Length and Both Directions. My two toes clamped once, and I swallowed
one ibuprofen before my right knee acting up. We started when the rain
stopped and it was cool the whole day with some sun in the afternoon.
Thanks for Jeff sharing water from his 30-lb Alaska training backpack
and Luke's brand new water filter. We had lunch near a lot of bluebells
on the loop trail (which you can skip if you ask me). — checked in to Bluemont, Virginia.
Had
a tasty after hike meal of Peruvians chicken. I only ate twice after my
trip in Peru in 2011. Chicken was the cheapest animal protein in South
America, and I ate so much that I avoided chicken for a few months after
I came back to the US. The chicken we ordered were freshly from the
oven and tasted very good. Thanks for Luke's suggestion. — eating Peruvian cuisine at Chicken Rico.
